Privacy Policy

ArtDEAN collects only the information needed to run accounts, reviewed directory profiles and the community public-art map.
Information we process
- Account details: name, email, role and securely hashed password.
- Professional profile and campaign information you choose to submit.
- Community contributions: photo, title, description, exact public-art location, capture time and permanence estimate.
- Operational security information such as rate-limit counters and server logs.
Community photos and location
Before publication, uploaded photos are decoded, resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata. The exact location, sanitised photo and contribution details are public while labelled Visitor Review. Your email and account identity are not public. ArtDEAN reviewers can verify, reject or mark a work removed.
Use and retention
We use data to operate the service, review records, prevent abuse and communicate about your account. Rejected media should be removed under the operational retention policy; verified records may be retained as part of the cultural record. Temporary artworks remain clearly time-labelled.
Your choices
You may request correction or deletion of account information and community submissions, subject to legitimate archival, security and legal requirements. Add an operational privacy contact before production deployment.
Processors and public sources
Infrastructure providers process service data on ArtDEAN’s behalf. Standard catalogue search uses public cultural sources. Optional AI synthesis is clearly disclosed before use.
